I have owned this theater system for nearly 2 years now Got it at Sam s Club for 298 99 Just got around to doing a review since I just hooked it up for 5 1 sound The system has a digital amp that is capable of reproducing 24 bit sound This system puts out some good sound for the price Good lows highs and bass The mids are a little lacking The sub woofer delivers clean crisp bass I listened to a movie on vol level 23 and the bass still put out clean not distorted at all If you want to get the best out of this system in terms of picture quality pick up an HDMI cable This system works pretty well with SDTV and stereo sound but you will not be using the system to its full capability When you buy Sony you know you are getting a quality product that is going to last Granted you take good care of it The instruction manual tells you to clean the unit and speakers with a damp cloth I recommend anyone that owns this system and the newer Sony home theater systems do so If not then it will bog down the unit It will overheat and die on you Have not had that happen There are newer Sony Home Theater systems out there now They do more than this system If you are on a budget and need a get me by system then this is the unit for you

A fantastic product Sounds good with movies music or just the television I bought this at Sam s Club for 289 00 I highly recommend this system I am picky about sound and this was better then anything else I had tried in that price range
